The Bracondale community centre serves tenants and neighbourhood residents alike, helping them stay connected, active, and independent well into their golden years. A third of the centre’s funding comes from generous donors, which means your gift will be a huge help in supporting programs as diverse as our computer lessons, yoga classes, and nutritious group dining program.
Where will my donations go?
| Ongoing activities like afternoon teas, ice cream socials, and garden parties give our seniors a chance to get out, make new friends, and stay connected to old ones. Small monthly donations allow us to preemptively cover the costs of food and set up. |  |
| Our well-loved and long-running yoga program, now in its 12th year, has allowed countless seniors to regain and improve mobility. A donation of $90.00 will allow up to 20 seniors to attend a gentle, seniors-focused yoga class, and $180.00 will subsidize a full week of class. |  |
| Last year, we served 10,534 meals to seniors in the St. Clair West community through our group dining program. Donations allow us to keep meals healthy and affordable, and one donation of $500 will pay for a month of fresh produce for our seniors. |  |
In the past, donations have also been used to purchase furniture for our common areas, equipment for our medical suite, and a van for our shopping service, as well as being used for kitchen renovations to support our meal program.
How can I give?
One-time donations
By making a donation to our programs, you can directly support our wide array of programs and activities. We issue tax receipts for all donations of $20.00 and over.
Monthly giving program
As a monthly donor, you will allow us to more effectively plan and carry out our programming. The average monthly gift ranges from $10.00 to $20.00, but all amounts are appreciated, as they allow us to count on your donation for the year ahead. Simply select the monthly giving option on our online form.
“In Memoriam” and Tribute donations
Some of our donors choose to remember loved ones by making donations in their name, and we are honoured when we are the charity of choice for an “in memoriam” or tribute donation.

St. Matthew’s Bracondale House is a non-profit organization operated by an elected Board of Directors. In 1985 the Board established a Trust Fund from which the contributions from foundations, service clubs and donors would enable us to provide much needed improvements at Bracondale. When making your charitable donations, preparing your will, or when considering an “In Memoriam” contribution, please remember the Bracondale House Trust Fund.
