On Sunday, June 12, St. Matthew’s Bracondale House walked the Toronto Challenge for the second time. 44 friends of Bracondale—including staff, seniors, families, and board members—came out to walk 1 kilometer and 5 kilometers in beautiful, sunny weather. The enthusiasm of “Team Bracondale” was amazing, and we had a wonderful morning. Take a look at our photos below!

In memory of our beloved tenant, David Kent, who passed away last month. All the watches went for $5 each or $8 for two. Some of the antique clocks were sold by auction.

We were honoured by a performance of Newfoundland Mary by Smile Theatre today (October 15). It was a great, upbeat play with a beautiful backdrop and some great songs. Here are a few pics of the cast.
Take a look at our ETAG instruction program on iPads called Seniors in Touch. It’s been such a hit that our sign up sheets fill up instantly. This six-month program was launched in mid September and is funded by the Ontario Government.
Seniors take part in hour-long classes every week for free! They are learning to play games online, take selfies and google things – great fun!
